Leadership Team
So when they had appointed elders in every church, and prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord in whom they had believed. (Acts 14:23)

For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and appoint elders in every city as I commanded you—(Titus 1:5)

Antioch Community Church is committed to what we believe is a healthy, biblical model for church leadership: a plurality of elders. Though there is one man who serves as Pastor, he has no more authority than the other elders, and these men work together to lead the church. The elders are responsible for the leading and feeding of the flock, as well as church discipline, protection against false teachers, and living among the flock as spiritual examples (1 Peter 5:3).

The Deacons

For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a good standing and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 3:13)

The deacons at Antioch do just what the Word expresses: they serve. Each of these men is dedicated to taking care of the church properties and exercising ministries of mercy so the elders are free to commit themselves “to prayer and to the ministry of the Word.” (Acts 6:4).
